Pick Up All Necessary Applications Before Christmas Break - You May Not Have The Time To Meet Deadlines If You Wait Until January. If you need to pick up a transcript for scholarships, please request using gold form no later than Wednesday, December 5, 2007.
SCHOLARSHIPS
AGNES SCOTT COLLEGE: Three major scholarships, details at www.agnesscott.edu ASC Presbyterian Scholarship: $40,000.00 4 year total award recognizing students with outstanding academic achievement, leadership and service to the Presbyterian Church. Requires nomination from a Presbyterian minister. ASC Nannett Hopkins Music Scholarship: Up to $28,000.00 4 year total for Music Majors/Minors. Requires FAFSA, audition, interview. ASC Goizueta Foundation Scholarship: Full $120,000.00 4 year total award to encourage women of Hispanic/Latina origin to attend ASC, any major. Must be US Citizen/legal permanent resident, complete FAFSA, written essay. All Deadlines January 15.
UNIV. OF ALABAMA: Multiple merit and need based scholarships, including scholarships for students of Alumni, freshman students, Hispanic Scholars and more. View website at: www.scholarships.ua.edu Deadline is December 1.
CLEMSON UNIVERSITY Calhoun Honors College -Multiple awards up to full tuition, study abroad, all incidentals and more. Multiple criteria including academic minimums of GPA and SAT/ACT scores. See http://virtual.clemson.edu/groups/CUHONORS/academicprograms.html for details. Deadline December 1.
UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT Scholarships: Multiple Merit based awards up to a Full Scholarship for seniors with a record of high academic achievement
and leadership. Qualifying students include those ranking Number One or Two in graduating class automatically qualify; Ranking in top 10% of class, 1400 SAT/ACT 32; top 15% students demonstrating commitment to multicultural diversity programs through leadership, talent and achievement and 1100 SAT/ACT 24. Deadline is December 1.
North Carolina A & T State University-Graduating seniors with a combined SAT verbal and math score of 1000 or better and at least a 3.25 GPA, could qualify for a scholarship for 50% of tuition and fees. UNC-CHAPEL HILL POGUE SCHOLARSHIP – traditionally emphasized minority applicants, is open to all who evidence a dedication to community service and the principles of diversity, in addition to strong academic achievement. Student who represent the first generation of their family to pursue college education are particularly encouraged to apply. Separate application available from UNC website at studentaid.unc.edu. December 1 deadline. Must apply to UNC by November 1 deadline
OGLETHORPE UNIVERSITY Scholarship Weekend: Competition weekend for multiple awards valued from $24,000.00 up to $105,000.00. Competition includes interviews, mock class sessions, essay. Awards are minimum 4-year scholarships, 2-week study abroad trips, internship
at a Nonprofit Organization of your choice, and more. Minimum criteria include 3.0-3.5 GPA, varying SAT/ACT scores, teacher recommendations, and more. See www.admission.oglethorpe.edu for additional details. Apply by December 5 to be considered.
PRESBYTERIAN COLLEGE, Academic Scholarships: Multiple scholarships, many merit-based awards. Awards range up to full four-year $80,000.00. Specific scholarship subjects include all areas of study plus Leadership, Athletic and Music Scholarship Competitions. High

The Robertson Scholars Program of DUKE AND/OR UNC-CHAPEL HILL: Merit based full scholarship valued up to $160,000.00. Awarded to students who have made an impact in school, community and possibly beyond and having demonstrated innovative leadership and even more potential. 36 awards per year, 18 each to Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. Students applying to UNC-Chapel Hill may not be considered for both the Morehead and Robertson and must

Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarship program- The SYF has established the community Scholarship Program to meet the financial needs of students in communities that host Simon shopping centers. (i.e. South Park mall). Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, statement of goals and aspirations, and an outside appraisal .Unusual personal or family circumstances will also be considered. Vanderbilt University: The application will be used for Vanderbilt’s three major merit scholarship programs including the Ingram, Chancellors’ Scholarship Program and the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship. Various awards from $10,000.00 to Full tuition plus stipends for summer projects. See www.vanderbilt.edu/scholarships for all details. Deadline January 3.
VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE Scholars Awards: Three Full/partial scholarships up to full costs. Multiple criteria for eligibility: GPA 3.6-3.7, SAT 1200-1350, Class rank top 5-10% plus Interviews. Deadline by January 15.
WASHINGTON & LEE Johnson Scholarship: New merit only based full scholarship to ensure recipients graduate debt free. Criteria require on-campus finalist’s competition in Feb. 2008. Selection based on academic achievement, leadership, civic participation and potential. Deadline by December 15.
WINTHROP UNIVERSITY Scholarships: Athletic & Merit Based including Division 1 Athletic awards, Visual and Performing Arts, and Merit based Academic awards.
