Minutes From September 17, 2007 Meeting

·         The minutes were approved as submitted.

·         Kay Eichorn volunteered to be responsible for the November minutes.

Treasurer’s Report

·        Donna Verhein distributed the statement of receipts and expenses.

·        Fall sports participation fees collection is nearing completion after receiving soccer and jv tennis. Golf participation fees will be turned in by the end-of-the month.

·        Police fees were the major expenses this month.

Concessions

·        The new coolers have arrived.  All coolers have been updated with locks.

Fall Sports

·        Kevin reported on the status and playoff schedules of the fall teams including: CCHS will be hosting the Queen City tournament for volleyball; jv volleyball won the jv conference; tennis is #1 seed with conference single runnerup, doubles champs, and doubles runnersup; jv tennis (8-0) and jv football are undefeated; jv soccer is finished; varsity soccer won the conference, is #1 seed, and will have their Senior Night on October 25; conference championship for cross country will be on Oct 16; women’s golf (4-3) will be in Greensboro this week; and the Queen City conference championship for varsity football will be decided on Oct 19 at CCHS.

Save-A-Date Magnets

·        Carolyn Culicerto distributed the CCHS/HT Golf Tournament April 21, 2008 Save-A-Date magnets (golf ball on tee).  These donated magnets will be handed out at the October 19 football game.

Fall Sports Program

·        Cindy Bauer reported that $9230 of business ads ($3400 collected; will be calling to collect the remaining funds) and $1320 of personal ads have been obtained.  She has been meeting with Beth Acitelli who has helped setup the student volunteers for producing the programs.  The cover is at the printer, business ads are done, personal ads are almost done and would like to get them to the printer on October 16 for distribution of the program on October 19.

Cougar Paws

·        Team parents should compile and send in their team summary articles and any pictures to Loretta Hintz.  The fall edition will be out in December.

·        Loretta is looking into adding a supplemental awards page.

Other Business

·        The arrangement of cheerleaders on the field (five near section G and five near band area) and in the stands (remaining are spilt between sections D and F) seemed to work well. Since the cheerleader support statement has been placed in five areas (concession stands, press box, and outside gate), it is not necessary to include it on the front of the football program.

·        The biggest concerns of jv boys golf are finding courses and transportation to those courses.  Please let Kevin know if a facility is available; he would write a letter.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the health room.
