Special Olympics – Operation Santa’s Helpers

Volunteers needed on Friday, Dec. 14  3-5 to pack boxes. 

Volunteers needed on Saturday, Dec. 15   9-12  to load boxes onto trucks to be taken to Double Oaks Community Center- 1326 Woodward Ave.

If you have a large vehicle that can be loaded that is also needed.  Volunteers will drive to the Community Center to unload trucks and load family cars.  Interaction with families is also important.  You may just show up to help.

Donations of food and used clothing also accepted prior to Friday, Dec. 14

Volunteers Needed for Alumni Phone-Athon

December 2-6 from 6-9:00 p.m. each nigh at Merrill Lynch SouthPark. Dinner will be served each evening, followed by a short orientation session. Special prizes will be awarded for volunteers who attend every night!   To volunteer, sign-up outside Room 102

Christmas Tree Sale

The sale starts on Thursday, Nov. 29 and runs through Sunday, Dec. 9 (or until all of the trees are gone).  During the week, our stand is open from 5:00 to 9:00 pm.  On the weekends, we work three 4-hour shifts each day (9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 - 5:00, and 5:00 to 9:00 pm).

The Arbors

(on the campus of The Carriage Club) ,a lovely residence serving senior adults who have memory impairment due to Alzheimer’s disease or Dementia,  is seeking responsible high school age volunteers who are interested in serving the senior population. They have week day and week end opportunities
