EUCHARISTIC LITURGY:          Our Mass schedule for the second semester is:

Monday                       2:30 pm

Tuesday -Friday          10:17 am

 

 

FACULTY/STAFF PRAYER BREAKFAST: Each Thursday our faculty and staff gather for prayer before

            school begins.  Moms In Touch generously provide breakfast for our faculty throughout the year.  If

you are able to assist by providing bagels, pastries, etc.,  please call Martha Hutson, our Coordinator at

704-364-5444.  Monetary donations are also accepted to help defray costs.  This has been a wonderful

way for our  parents to express gratitude and support to our great faculty and staff.

 

MOMS  IN TOUCH: We welcome all moms & adults to pray for our students, teachers, alumni and families

each Monday at 9:15 am in the Chapel.  It is a wonderful way to support our school community! 

 

HOST FAMILIES NEEDED: The Notre Dame Choir will be offering a concert on January 11 at St. Matthew

Church at 7:30 pm.  The concert is to raise monies for the schools in the Gulf Coast that were damaged by

Katrina.  The concert is free and donations accepted at the concert.  The choir is in need of families to stay

with on the night of Thursday, January 11.  If you are able to host one or more students, please contact

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK: will be celebrated the week of January 28 - February 2.  Our theme for this

year is “Catholic Schools: The Good News in Education.”.  Our project for the event will be announced

on the website throughout the month of January.

All of our parents and guests are invited to join our school community for the celebration of

Eucharist  at 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 in the CCHS gym.  A reception will follow to

thank all of our priests, volunteers and teachers. 

 

ROSARY MAKERS CLUB: A great way for students to get involved with their faith and spread the Good

News is  through this fun club.  All supplies  are provided.  All of the rosaries made are sent overseas to

missions and are also available in our chapel for students to use.  The next meeting will be on January 5th

in room #105 at 2:30 pm.  All students are invited!

 

MARCH FOR LIFE: On Sunday, January 21, 2007, our students will be traveling to the March for Life Rally

in Washington DC in support of pro-life.  Please keep our students in your prayers as they march on the

KAIROS: Our next Karios (meaning In God’s Time) retreat (#10) will be held on March 2-4, 2007 at Camp

Thunderbird. This retreat is an optional retreat offered for students who would like to enhance their

spiritual life.  Brochures are available in Campus Ministry.  Cost for participants  is $80.00 (non-

refundable).  Call Campus Ministry for more details.

 

SITTERS AVAILABLE: Some of the Faculty & Staff at CCHS are available for house, child or pet sitting

JUNK IN THE TRUNK...COMING SOON!  Get out those precious items you’ve had boxed away

“some where”  to use “some day”!  We’re having a Spring sale of crafts and junk at CCHS!!!

We are raising funds for a mission trip to Chimbote, Peru!  Parking spaces will rent for $15.00

and you sell all the “crafts or junk” your trunk can hold!  Just pull up, open the trunk and sell!

It’s that easy!  Refreshments will also be on sale!  Please come out and support our first “Spring

SERVICE HOURS: Campus Ministry and Religion Classes will be posting current projects available for

students throughout the year.  Students are strongly encouraged to complete their required hours early

in the semester when projects are more readily available.  For more information on projects offered, please

UPCOMING PROJECTS:

MITEY RIDERS:   This wonderful program provides therapeutic horseback riding for handicapped children in

our community.  Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.  Duties include side walking riders, leading

horses, stable maintenance, shed maintenance and grooming & tacking.  You will be trained for services

ALLEGRO FOUNDATION: Volunteers are needed to help with disabled children.  Hours are flexible.  This

wonderful organization is located behind Trinity Church on Providence Road.  Please call Rachel Cain

CHARLOTTE RESCUE MISSION:   Volunteer opportunities are available for food drives and/or mealtimes

at the Mission.  For information, please contact the volunteer coordinator at 704-334-4635, ext #214.

 

BUTTERFLY BIN: Assistance is needed to help sort and organize household items for the poor on Thursdays  from 4-7 pm. At 2920 North Tryon.  To volunteer, please contact Julie at    julie@organizingpro.com

 

OAKDALE HEIGHTS: This Senior living memory care unit is in need of volunteers for various games

Almighty God, with you there is no beginning and no end for you are the origin

and goal of all creation. May this new year which we dedicate to you bring

us abundant prosperity and growth in holy living. And may all who celebrate

this new year with joy live the entire year in your love.
