FEBRUARY 2007

EUCHARISTIC LITURGY:          Our Mass schedule for the second semester is:

Monday                       2:30 pm

Tuesday -Friday          10:17 am

FACULTY/STAFF PRAYER BREAKFAST: Each Thursday our faculty and staff gather for prayer before

school begins.  Moms In Touch generously provide breakfast for our faculty throughout the year.  If

you are able to assist by providing bagels, pastries, etc.,  please call Martha Hutson, our Coordinator at

704-364-5444.  Monetary donations are also accepted to help defray costs.  This has been a wonderful

way for our  parents to express gratitude and support to our great faculty and staff.

MOMS  IN TOUCH: We welcome all moms & adults to pray for our students, teachers, alumni and families

each Monday at 9:15 am in the Chapel.  It is a wonderful way to support our school community!

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK:.  With our theme “Catholic Schools: The Good News in Education”, our

students decided to reach out to other schools and families in need within our own country by assisting

with the continued effort to rebuild the Mississippi coast after Hurricane Katrina.  The Diocese of Biloxi

will be coordinating our donations with their long-term program.  We will collect new household items

(sheets of all sizes,  towels, appliances, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc) during Catholic Schools Week.

Furniture (in good condition) is also desperately needed, but due to a lack of storage, we will not collect

these items until the week of delivery to Mississippi.  Please call Campus Ministry to donate your

furniture and set up a pick up time.  Beds (double or queen), dinette sets, chairs, sofas, tables, etc are

needed.  We appreciate your support!

ROSARY MAKERS CLUB: A great way for students to get involved with their faith and spread the Good

News is  through this fun club.  All supplies  are provided.  All of the rosaries made are sent overseas to

missions and are also available in our chapel for students to use.  The next meeting will be February 13th

in room #105 at 2:30 pm.  All students are invited!

ASH WEDNESDAY: Our all school celebration of Eucharist with the distribution of ashes will be during class

periods on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 in the Chapel.  Reconciliations will also be offered during

Religion classes in Lent.

Prayer for the Holy Spirit

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy

Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work too may be holy

Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy

Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy

Guide me then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
