MYTHOLOGICAL ALLUSIONS: For each of the terms below,
type your answers using complete sentences. Summarize the myth and identify the
mythological allusion pertaining to each person/term listed; use the example

1. Achilles: Achilles, one of the greatest warriors in Ancient Greece, was invincible, except for one spot on his heel where he was held by his mother, Thetis, when she dipped him in the River Styx. He killed the great Trojan warrior, Hector, before being slain by his brother, Paris. An Achilles’ heel is a weak point in someone who seems invulnerable.
