This club is devoted to improving the environment of CCHS and the local community. Activities include recycling, campus clean-ups, going to a wildlife habitat (in Georgia), field trips, and collecting items for the NC Zoo.

The Charlotte Catholic Environmental Club has continued to grow in numbers and projects throughout the past year. The generous dedication of students has allowed this club to commit to the organization to a few key long term projects:

  1. We have resumed recycling aluminum cans  in the cafeteria and added the teacher workroom as a "recycling zone"

  2. We have "adopted" a portion  of McMullen creek for bi-annual clean-up. We have removed such items as multiple shopping carts , road signs, discarded carpeting, a large container of paint solvent, and various other types of trash from the stream.

  3. We  raise funds and awareness for various missions in Zambia. These missions promote good stewardship of resources as well as supporting life and education in developing regions.
