The Girls Lacrosse Team had a fantastic year... 16-1 through the regular season
going into playoffs as the number 2 team in the state. The girls continued
their winning ways through a playoff run leading to the championship game
against the #1 state powerhouse and defending champs, Apex. Although the
Cougars final record was 19-2, the Cougars who lost to Apex by 12 early in the
season, showed their growth by closing the gap to a loss by six. The Lady
Cougars will be back strong for the 2009 season with a huge underclassmen
presence and the NC Coach of the Year, Coach Dee Bier. We are all proud of
our Cougars!!

Cougars have been named to the Girls Southwestern All-Conference Lacrosse Team!

5/3/08 Girls Varsity
Lacrosse, ranked #2 in the state, will take on Hopewell in Round 1 of the State
Championship. Please support your Cougars! Game time 3:00 at
Charlotte Catholic.
Congratulations to Catherine
Ellis, Caroline Pedlow, Tarra Dahlke, Elizabeth Hubbell, Lexi Jankun and Taylor
White who were selected to play on the US Lacrosse Lower Atlantic Regional
National Team. They will play in the showcase US Lacrosse National Tournament
May 24th and 25th in Baltimore, MD. It is one of the largest women's lacrosse
events in the nation.
