This has been a great and fun year for the Varsity cheerleaders as they lead the Cougar fans in cheering on our Cougar football team! The squad captains were Rikki Cudic, Amanda Mann and Cathy McCormick and the squad was coached by Jennifer Schexnayder. Practice started at a week long camp held at CCHS in August where the squad learned cheers and routines not only for football season but for their upcoming competitions. Then, it was on to cheering at football games from South Meck to Cherryville to Raleigh and of course, at home in front of the best fans. Great job to the captains and the rest of the squad: Courtney Smith, Caitlin McNulty, Mary Kathryn Dilisio, Catie Acitelli, Alex Truslow, Kelsey Crowder, Alex Pietras, Ashley Shell, Lizzy Peterson, Kathleen Madden, Katy Murphy, Morgan Little, Chris Totman, Mary Duncan Hancock, Rebekah Gould, Kelsey Gottcent, Kaitlyn Elliot, and Meagan Metkowski.
