Just as the JV Football team was finishing up their undefeated season, the JV Cheerleaders were about to start their competition season! The team is coached by Ms. Jennifer LeMaire, a French teacher here at CCHS. This group of 20 Freshmen and Sophomore girls have been working hard since August and it shows. Sophomore Captains Sabrina Husain and Heather Vernier have led the other Sophomores: Brooke Baver, Anna Berger, Keeley Gasparro, Taylor Giddings, Taylor James, Melissa Keane, Heather Kon, Melina LaVecchia, Erika Pascarella, Stuart Sabatini, Samantha Smith and Lauren Strauss as well as Freshman: Carly Green, Payton Laurie, Julia Truslow, Julia Devita, Rebecca Sloan and Erin Metkowski. The team is still deciding which competitions to enter. They will likely travel to Chapel Hill and Concord, and possibly Myrtle Beach or Charleston. While they support their football team, competitive cheerleading is fast becoming a sport of its own and the CCHS JV Team hopes to continue a winning tradition. Good luck girls!
